First Fridays Boise / Monthly Events
Usually the first Friday · always monthly
Monthly events.
One standing invitation, twelve times a year. Here's where we're headed — and how to be in the room.
When does First Fridays Boise meet?
First Fridays Boise gathers every month — usually on the first Friday at 5:30 PM, at rotating venues across Idaho's Treasure Valley: Boise, Meridian, Garden City and Nampa. A few times a year we move the date on purpose to build the gathering around something worth showing up for — a concert, a Boise State game, a night that only happens once. Gatherings are open to Black and multicultural professionals and to allies who show up for the community. Venue, time and ticket details are announced for each event and go out first to our mailing list.
First Friday at 5:30 PM is the rhythm you can plan around. When we step off it, it's because there's something better on the calendar that month — and we'll tell you well ahead of time. The venue changes on purpose too: it keeps us moving around the Valley and introduces the community to businesses worth knowing.

Your first time
What a First Friday feels like.
Most people walk in for the first time on their own. Here's what you're walking into.
You'll be introduced
Nobody stands alone in a corner here. If you don't know anyone, say so at the welcome table — getting you into a conversation is somebody's actual job.
Come as you are
People come straight from work, and people come dressed up. Both are right. There's no dress code to decode.
Conversation, not a pitch
This isn't a room where you work the crowd for leads. Bring cards if you want them — but the relationships are the point.
Bring someone
Friend, partner, coworker, someone new in town. The community grows because people bring the folks they think should be here.
Where we've been
A year of good rooms.
Every gathering has its own shape — a tailgate, a comedy night, a wine-down to close the week.
The room, every month
Professionals from across the Treasure Valley — all industries, all career stages, one standing invitation.
Conversations that keep going
The collaborations, referrals and friendships that started in one of these rooms are the reason we keep booking the next one.

Event questions.
When is the next First Fridays Boise event?
The next gathering is Friday, September 4, 2026. We meet every month, usually on the first Friday — see the full list of upcoming dates above.
Is it always the first Friday?
Usually, and that's the date to plan around. A few times a year we move it on purpose to build the gathering around something special — a concert, a Boise State game, a one-night-only experience. Those months are marked on the calendar above, and the new date always goes out to our mailing list well ahead of time.
What time do events start?
Our Friday gatherings start at 5:30 PM Mountain Time. Special-date events built around a concert or a game may run on their own schedule — those times are listed with the event.
Where are events held?
At rotating venues across the Treasure Valley — Boise, Meridian, Garden City and Nampa. Each month's venue is announced ahead of the event and goes out to our mailing list first.
Is there a cost to attend?
It varies by event. Some gatherings are free, others have a ticket to cover food and venue. Every event lists the details when RSVPs open.
Do I need to RSVP?
Yes, when RSVPs are open — it helps us plan food and space, and some venues have a cap. Get on the mailing list and RSVP links come to you first.
Do I need to know someone to come?
No. Most people come to their first event on their own. You'll be welcomed, introduced, and folded into the room — that's the whole point.
Can I bring a guest?
Please do. Bring a friend, a partner, a coworker, or someone who just landed in Idaho and needs to meet people. If tickets are required, have them RSVP too.
What should I wear?
Whatever you're comfortable in. People come straight from work and people get dressed up — both fit right in.
